Deep broths, soft tofu, and rich warmth—no pork, just comfort.
A Bowl of Comfort, Korean Style
When you think of Korean food, rice bowls and BBQ might come to mind first—but soups and stews are the real soul of the table. At Korea Culture, we’ve brought this side of Korean dining into focus, offering hearty, halal-conscious versions of Korea’s most beloved broths.
At our Terminal 3 location in Changi Airport, soups and stews are more than side notes. They’re centrepieces—warming, satisfying, and built for travel-weary bodies and curious appetites alike.
Built From the Broth Up
Korean soups (guk) and stews (jjigae) begin with a carefully prepared broth—be it anchovy, seaweed, beef bone, or mushroom. But at Korea Culture, we’ve reworked these traditional bases to be fully pork- and alcohol-free, without compromising flavour.
Our halal-friendly stews are developed to stay true to Korean taste profiles while respecting dietary needs. The result? Soulful, savoury comfort food that warms without weighing down.
Army Stew, Reimagined
One of our most popular stews is budae jjigae, or Army Stew. Originally a dish of survival, this spicy hotpot blends noodles, tofu, beef, and sausage in a bold broth.
Our version is halal-conscious, made with quality ingredients and without processed meats or pork-based seasoning. It’s rich, warming, and surprisingly balanced—perfect for first-timers and comfort seekers alike.
You can enjoy it solo or with a side of our ever-rotating banchan buffet.
Kimchi Stew Without the Burn
Kimchi jjigae is another Korean classic—sour, spicy, and deeply flavourful. Our version keeps the signature profile intact while using halal ingredients, aged kimchi, and silky tofu for a smooth finish.
It’s one of those dishes that hits the spot on cool evenings, long layovers, or any day you need a warm bowl and a deeper breath.
Ginseng Chicken: Nourishment in a Bowl
While not always on our daily menu, we occasionally serve a version of samgyetang, or Korean ginseng chicken soup. This herbal, slightly sweet broth is known in Korea for its restorative properties. Ours is made without alcohol or pork fat, and is both refreshing and grounding.
Ask our team if it’s in rotation during your visit—it’s especially popular during Ramadan or long-haul travel season.
All the Warmth, None of the Worry
Everything at Korea Culture is halal-conscious, from our broths to our proteins to our sauces. Whether you're choosing a stew, a grill, or just a round of banchan, you can dine with peace of mind.
We believe comfort food should be comforting in every way—including preparation, dietary fit, and service. Our soups and stews reflect that with every spoonful.
